Indigo Mountain Homestead Sale Policy
Indigo Mountain Homestead will only sell goats/ducks in pairs, unless you already have goats/ducks. These animals need companions to thrive. We care about our animals and want them to have happy, healthy homes. We strive to find the animal that fits our buyers needs.
Indigo Mountain Homestead reserves the right to retain any goat/duck born on our farm. If you have any questions about our sales policy, please contact us and we would be glad to assist you. Indigo Mountain Homestead terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. We sell our goats/ducks on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to purchase an animal, please contact us to discuss your specific goals so we can better assisst you. Please read the entire sales policy and reach out with any questions!
- Pricing: Each animal is that is offered for sale and listed on our website will be priced according to number of factors including gender, age, milk production, show potential, etc. Prices are firm unless otherwise negotiated. We do offer discounts on the purchase of multiple animals. Any discount will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties before purchase.

Registration: Our Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats are registered with ADGA (as applicable) . Kids that are not registered by us are sold with a registration application for ADGA. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay the registration and transfer fees. Adults will be sold with the AGDA certificate . It is the buyers responsibility to pay the transfer fee and put the goat into their name. A goat must be in your name to register any kids born on your farm. Note: Wethers are not registered with ADGA.
- Deposit to Hold Animals: A deposit is required to hold animals until pick up. Any buyer that refuses to pay a deposit will not be guaranteed that the animal will be available on the pick up date. Without a deposit, animals are sold on a "first come, first served" basis. A deposit contract is availble upon request.
- Payment Terms: Payment must be made in full at the time of pick up. We accept cash, PayPal, and Venmo. Personal checks will only be accepted if they are cleared before pick up. Any additional fee incured by using PayPal or Venmo will be paid by the buyer.
- Health Guarantees: All goats will have up-to-date vaccinations and other preventive care. We test our does on a rolling basis for CAE and Johnes. Any other tests requested by buyer will be paid for by the buyer before pick up. If the buyer requires a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, the buyer will be resposible for any fees and survices. We do not allow a sick animal to leave the farm. We will examine each animal before pick up to ensure the health of the animal.
- Return Policy: We guarantee our animals are healthy when they leave us. We have no control over what happens when they leave the farm, and therefore can make no health guarantee after they leave our property. The buyer becomes resposible for keeping the animal healthy after pick up. We do offer full or partial refunds in cases where we are not aware of a congenital issue (Example: supernumerary teat). We do our best to ensure each animal is healthy and able to meet its full potential, but we are human, and sometimes make mistakes. Please reach out with any concern you may have and we will try to come to a fair agreement.
- Transportation: Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation of the animals from our farm. We will work with reputable transport, which the buyer is resposible for obtaining. Although our goats are friendly and tame, transporting them is stressful for them. Be sure that you are prepared to transport them safely in a large dog crate or some other humane containment system. They a will jump (goats) or fly (ducks) and poop/pee in your vehicle.
